James Farber
My name is James Farber, and I am pursuing a Master’s Degree in Geological Engineering. I serve as a TA at Cabrillo for Geology including field courses in Big Sur and Pinnacles NP. I love to volunteer with local non-profits and have guided backcountry outings as a Field Instructor for underserved youth as well as maintained trails in Ventana and Silver Peak Wilderness and Los Padres National Forest. In my free time, I enjoy traveling with my wife and dog, visiting our State and National Parks and venturing into some far-out places. I surf daily and enjoy backpacking, climbing, and running. I hope to use my engineering skills and love of geology to explore solutions to our planet’s environmental challenges and promote equality for underserved communities.
