First day of the CEAP 2024 started off with an early morning wake up/meet up! It was a rough morning but the excitement of the trip got me moving. We got on the road at around 5:30AM and picked up our instructor Rhoxanne who sadly blew her back out in the rush of getting ready for this trip. Once we were all together and on our way to the airport I definitely got a sense of relief because part of the battle was over, and making it to the airport on time is always difficult, especially with a big group. We made it though, and checking in went very smooth! Eric got donuts and didn’t share but we don’t need to talk about that. Once through, we all relaxed and looked forward to the adventure that awaits us in Costa Rica. Our first flight was a quick up and down, hour long flight to Los Angeles, followed up with a 3 hour layover that had us all antsy in the airport looking for anything to pass some time. Finally our plane was ready to board and we all loaded up and got comfortable for the 5 hour flight to San Jose, Costa Rica. The flight had a few bumps but for the most part we all were able to relax and watch some movies until we arrived at our final destination and here Jonathan awaited us with a great big PURDA VIDA!
